Arrow Butler Castings Ltd are an aluminium sand and gravity die foundry with a fully functioning CNC machine shop operating out of a 19,000 square ft factory in Chesterfield, N E Derbyshire.
Why Arrow Butler Castings?
- The Foundry Division supplies aluminium sand and gravity die castings either as cast, or fully machined. We can cater for batch numbers ranging from one offs, up to quantities exceeding tens of thousands, in any grade of aluminium.
- The Engineering Division: provides precision CNC machining services with state-of-the-art machinery and the latest CAD CAM solutions. We work with a wide range of metals and plastics, in billet, cast, and extruded form, offering precision parts across all sectors.
- Holding ISO9001: 2015 certification and using skilled moulders, die casters and machinists we can accommodate every feasible shape, size and quantity of casting and machining requirement, whilst maintaining quality, accuracy, flexibility and excellent service.
W H Butler & Sons ( Founders ) Ltd first began producing castings in 1922. For 75 years the company operated from its original foundry buildings in Dronfield, Derbyshire. In 1996 the company re located to its present purpose-built foundry in Whittington, Chesterfield.
For over 20 years Arrow Castings Ltd had successfully manufactured castings in Ireland. In 1995, to give a better service to customers, they relocated to Reading, Berkshire where they continued to expand and produce high quality castings.
Expand and Produce High Quality Castings
- In 2003 : W H Butler & Sons Founders Ltd and Arrow Castings Ltd merged to form Arrow Butler Castings Ltd. The foundry produces aluminium castings using modern day practices whilst still drawing on knowledge and experience developed over four generations, spanning over 100 years.
- In 2010 : Arrow Butler established its in house machine shop which now enables full supply of machined castings plus third party machining services. Utilising a mixture of 3 & 4 axis machining centres and precision CNC lathes, Arrow Butler has grown its precision machining services to include customers in oil and gas, mining, defence, transport and all general manufacturing sectors.
- In July 2023: Arrow Butler Castings Ltd became part of the TGM Industrial Group. The group constitutes an integrated collection of industrial firms offering a cross sectional range of engineering and manufacturing products and services to the UK’s industrial sector. TGM Group services include CNC milling and turning, heavy engineering, thread cutting and rolling, forging, casting, EDM services, CMM, balancing, laser scanning and blasting & coating.
